The Martin County Community Foundation extends an invitation to all Martin County teachers to participate in the 2017 Classroom Grants program.   The 2017 program will be funded by a distribution from the Martin County Community Foundation Education Fund.

Grants of $50 - $300 may be awarded for innovative programs, projects and activities to stimulate learning for students.  The projects must follow school guidelines and policies.  Classroom Grants are not typically given to fund purchases of large equipment, iPads or Chromebooks, or personnel development, etc.

All purchases must be made after the grant check is distributed; the grant dollars are not intended to be a reimbursement for something purchased prior to receipt of grant check.  Receipts and a final report will be required.

We hope you will take advantage of this grant opportunity for your classroom!

Please mail application to:  MCCF, P.O. Box 28, Loogootee, IN  47553

2017 FALL STEM
GRANTS - DUE SEPTEMBER 20, 2017

Martin County Community Foundation (MCCF) is offering non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations, community institutions, and schools the opportunity to apply for a grant for out-of-school STEM projects or programs in Martin County.  The STEM programming must occur outside of the traditional school day and promote opportunities for hands-on learning in STEM that adds to or enhances school experiences at the elementary, middle, or high school level.

MCCF was awarded the Advancing Out-of-School STEM Learning Grant from Regional Opportunity Initiatives, Inc. to support science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Advancing Out-of-School STEM Learning Grant applications must be delivered to the Martin County Community Foundation, 2668 US Hwy. 50, Loogootee, IN by 4:00pm on Wednesday, September 20th to be considered for funding.  Organizations must use the STEM-specific grant application below.

This is a separate grant cycle for grants of $1,000 or more, and only for out-of-school STEM projects and programs.  Larger grants may be subject to a challenge, meaning the organization may be responsible for raising a percentage of matching funds.  Awards will be distributed in early November 2017 and projects must be completed and final reporting received within one year.

If you have questions, please call the Martin County Community Foundation office at (812) 295-1022.
